Coordination of the material supply chain into the major contract at Sizewell C and any associated works in line with the clients, contractors and Heidelberg Material UK's expectations
Ensuring all site delivery requirements and instructions are understood, acted upon, adhered to and effectively communicated to all staff and contractors attending site. Providing a coordinated and fully compliant delivery fleet with all required paperwork and administration tasks undertaken and recorded.
The role will involve a high level of cross department coordination and the management of all Heidelberg Materials UK and third party supplied products. As the project develops the role will further expand and involve the daily management of logistics activities at a number of distribution depots including road, rail & marine.
Take orders and input into SAP, plan deliveries by trucks, occasionally by Rail and possibly Sea as the project develops. Make SZC DMS and VMS bookings, monitor deliveries throughout the day and solve any issues, liaison with all stakeholders involved within the supply chain.
Key accountabilities
Achieve a high level of customer service by ensuring all site delivery expectations are met to pre-agreed levels
Maintain and ensure all customer orders are entered on SAP (or equivalent system) whilst checking accuracy of information
Regularly liaise with the client and contractors to ensure all deadlines for submissions and confirmation of orders are agreed
Ensure that weekly/monthly programmes are available and submitted from the contractor /client to assist vehicle planning, operational production planning and that this feeds into commercial forecasting
Complete and review objectives/KPI reports highlighting deviation from agreed targets
Review daily/weekly DMS tracker and ensure Heidelberg Materials UK compliance is at +90%
Capture and recorded all NCR's and complaints on system and follow up by confirming they acted upon to ensure to avoid re-occurrence
Monitor delivery performance levels to ensure effective use of resource and productivity levels
Liaise internally and externally with suppliers and customers to deliver optimum service delivery
Ensure the efficient and effective completion of administration tasks and query resolution
Effectively schedule deliveries from the most economic plant, delivery and to liaise with plant staff and hauliers on daily movement and activities.
To monitor daily delivery progress and liaise with customers.
To understand the capacities and capabilities of internal production units, external customer demands and to schedule work accordingly.
To maintain good working relations with operational staff, customers, hauliers, drivers and commercial team and operational plant staff.
To ensure customer service is not compromised with a lack of vehicles in conjunction with achieving best vehicle utilisation.
Review and highlight any future issues or non-deliver risks in advance
Ensure hired in tipper and mixers are kept to a minimum and are closely monitored for performance against core fleet to ensure cost effectiveness
Contribute to fleet review and compliance meetings making sure all future risks are highlighted

Education/Qualification
Minimum of 5 GCSEs including maths & english.
Good working understanding of standard Microsoft software packages.
Valid Driving License
