We are looking for dedicated and experienced DBS Chefs who live in the Nottingham area, who have a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards. This role will suit those who have a strong culinary background who have experience of working within the Care sector and have the skills to thrive under pressure.

Your responsibilities would include the following:

• The preparation and cooking of meals according to set menus and recipes
• Ensuring that all preparation of meals met with hygiene and safety standards
• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
• Checking deliveries, including temperatures upon receipt
• Recording of critical control point information
• Adhering to allergy and intolerance guidelines
• Following all requirement food safety legislation

Duration: This is an ongoing opportunity.

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: You will be paid an hourly rate of £15.00 to £17.00 per hour depending on experience.

Working Hours: Your typical full working day would start at 07.00 and last up to 12 hours

To be considered for this role you must have the below:

• A Valid Enhanced DBS Certificate
• Operation knowledge of HACCP procedures and Information
• Level 3 Food Hygiene, as a minimum
• knowledge of dietary requirements including adjustments to food texture for the consumption of the elderly
• Knowledge of food production methods
• Thorough Health and Safety knowledge
• Ability to work calmly under pressure
