You'll be responsible for producing accurate and competitive estimates across a wide range of civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, highways, drainage, groundworks, and structural works.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and take-offs
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricingAssess project risks, constraints, and opportunities
- Support bid submissions and contribute to value engineering proposals
- Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and the wider commercial team
- Proven experience as a Civils Estimator or similar role within the construction sector
- Strong understanding of civil engineering methods, materials, and industry standards
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tenders simultaneously
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy
