The Job:
As Head of Pastry, you will be responsible for managing, developing, leading, and training your pastry team, which includes highly energetic and motivated individuals. You will report to the senior culinary team led by the Resort Executive Chef. Your duties include managing the range of bread, desserts, and savouries produced within the company across multiple outlets. You should be capable of leading from the front and adapting your team's focus from traditional hotel afternoon teas to large-scale events, VIP dining, and high-profile functions.
The Person:
Ideal candidates will be experienced Head of Pastry or senior Pastry Sous Chefs ready to advance their careers. Candidates must demonstrate experience in a 5-star resort environment, preferably with exposure to Michelin or high Rosette level cuisine. You should exhibit creativity and passion across bread, desserts, and chocolates, and possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. As a senior pastry leader, you will manage staff wellbeing, costs, and ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
