As HGV Technician you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles to ensure that vehicles are safe, reliable, and compliant with regulations. Technicians work on a range of tasks, from routine servicing to complex mechanical and electrical repairs, ensuring vehicles are fit for operation.
- Routine servicing, repair and maintenance of the PSV Fleet to highest DVSA standards
- Be first point of contact for in depth fault finding and repairs on various bus types.
- SME (Subject Matter Expert) in Mechanical and Electrical fault finding.
- Be fully conversant with the overhaul and repair of vehicle electrical systems including engine management, automatic / semi-automatic gearboxes, electronic braking, suspension, electronic destinations, multiplex wiring systems and E.C.U.
- Carry out projects / trials on behalf of the Engineering Director and / or Technical Manager
- Maintain detailed records of all work carried out, including parts used and time taken.
- Fully comply with all HS&E legislation and group policies.
