Early Years Teacher/Practitioner - Superb Montessori Nursery in Nailsea
Secret Garden Montessori School of Nailsea is now in its 10th year and continues to be extremely popular with the families in the area. We are a Montessori nursery, so we focus on the child as an independent learner, we also offer the children the chance to attend forest school sessions throughout the year.
Our nursery is based on the high street in Nailsea in a two storey building. The (Baby Rooms) upper floor for children aged 10 months to 2 years. We have three classrooms, the main room, the creative room, and the Montessori room in addition to a room where the children sleep. The child play/work in each area led and supported by the baby room teachers.
The lower floor is for up to 32 children aged 2 – 5 years. We have five areas of learning, the Practical Life room (life skills), the Studio (creativity), the Science room (the world and science), the Sensorial room (literacy and maths) and the garden (for play and learning). Teachers are rotated around the classrooms allowing each teacher a chance to work within each environment, as we know that everyone offers a different set of skills and it’s good to have variety.
You will have a maximum of five key children observing and recording their work on the parent portal we use, called My Montessori Child and training will be given.
We are looking for someone who has a level 3 or above who has experience of the EYFS and also with an interest in the Montessori philosophy. If you happen to have a Montessori qualification this would also be a benefit. We are also always ready to help you to further develop your qualifications and practice, which could include forest school.

This is a full time position 38 hours per week, but we are always happy to discuss hours for the right person. We offer up to 30 days holiday a year including bank holidays and nursery closures.
