Job summary
A construction company in the UK is seeking a skilled carpenter to join their team. The role requires reading blueprints, installing foundations, and fitting doors and windows. Education
We are looking for a skilled carpenter to join our construction team in Surrey, BC. The role involves reading blueprints, installing foundations, framing walls, and fitting windows, doors, and stairs. The position is permanent, full‑time, and requires an on‑site presence with no remote option.
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Schedule and co‑ordinate work on sites
- Supervise other workers
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- Experience in construction, carpentry or related field is an asset
- Strong knowledge of reading blueprints and construction drawings
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

$40.00 hourly / 30 to 40 hours per week
