Job summary
A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Litigation Locum for a fully remote role. The ideal candidate will manage a varied caseload in civil and criminal matters, with desirable experience in planning and highways work. Applicants must be qualified solicitors, barristers, or chartered legal executives. Regular virtual meetings will ensure support within a cohesive team.
Qualifications
- Qualified solicitor, barrister or chartered legal executive required.
- Previous local government experience is desirable but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of both civil and criminal matters.
- Conduct judicial reviews and commercial debt recovery.
- Handle trading standards and highways disputes.
Skills
Sellick Partnership is currently working with our local authority client to recruit an experienced Litigation Locum. This is an interim role with an initial 3-month duration.
Working on behalf of the local authority and two national park authorities, you will manage a varied caseload of both civil and criminal matters. Experience of planning and highways work is also highly desirable but not essential.
Duties may include:
- Commercial debt recovery
- Judicial review
- Trading standards
- Highways disputes
This is a fully remote working role, however, working as part of a small and cohesive team you will have regular (virtual) meetings with the wider team to ensure you feel supported in the role.
Applicants will be required to be a qualified solicitor, barrister or a chartered legal executive. Previous local government is desirable but not essential.
