Job summary
A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking an Independent EAP Counsellor based in Bangor. The role offers flexibility to manage your own calendar while providing meaningful support to clients facing workplace and personal challenges. Qualifications include accreditation in mental health counselling, and experience in solution-focused therapy is highly desirable. This position requires maintaining case documentation and collaboration with risk management teams.
Qualifications

- Professional indemnity insurance is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Manage online referrals with prompt response times.
- Provide short-term counselling (3-12 sessions).
- Collaborate with Provider Services team on risk management.

- Maintain comprehensive case documentation and feedback
- Collaborate with our Provider Services team on risk management
- Accreditation: BACP/UKCP/COSCA/BPS/NCS/BABCP or equivalent
- Alternative: Diploma-level qualification + 3 years post-qualification experience + 450+ counselling hours
- Approach: Experience in short-term, solution-focused therapeutic models
- Supervision: Regular professional clinical supervision arrangements should be in place
- Insurance: Professional indemnity (minimum £1,000,000)
- Compliance: ICO registration as Data Controller
- Previous EAP experience preferred but not essential
- Assessment and support planning expertise
- Short-term counselling interventions with workplace focus
- Understanding of organizational dynamics and work-life challenges
- Knowledge of local therapeutic resources and referral pathways
