About the Role: We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Legal Cashier to join a prestigious, top-tier law firm on a fully remote basis. - Oversee all financial operations, including client and office account management.
- Lead, supervise, and organise a small team of legal cashiers to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR) and other regulatory requirements.
- Process financial transactions, including receipts, payments, and bank reconciliations.
- Support internal and external audits, and assist with financial reporting as required.
- Mentor and train junior staff, developing their skills and knowledge in legal cashiering.
- Provide guidance and ensure adherence to firm policies and procedures.
- Proven experience in a Legal Cashier role, with at least 3-5 years in a similar capacity within a law firm.
- Strong experience in team leadership or supervision of finance staff.
- In-depth knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR) and legal accounting processes.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with legal accounting software (e.g., SOS Connect, Aderant, or similar).
- Self-motivated, proactive, and solutions-focused approach to work.
