What You’ll Be Doing as a Tax Assistant Manager:

• Managing tax compliance for a portfolio of clients
• Reviewing tax work prepared by junior staff and supporting their development
• Preparing complex tax returns and advising clients on tax-related matters
• Handling HMRC correspondence and managing client relationships
• Attending client meetings as the primary tax advisor
• Representing the firm at networking events and business development opportunities
• Assisting with tax planning projects and software implementation for clients
• Overseeing financial management of your portfolio, including billing and recoveries
• Delegating tasks effectively and mentoring junior colleagues

What We’re Looking For in a Tax Assistant Manager:

• Qualifications – ATT and/or AAT Level 4, with ACA/ACCA and part CTA preferred
• Experience – Strong background in tax compliance, planning, and advisory services
• Leadership Skills – Ability to mentor, develop, and guide junior team members
• Client Focus – A commitment to delivering outstanding client service
• Technical Expertise – Solid understanding of tax regulations, VAT, PAYE, and compliance
• Commercial Awareness – Ability to manage financial aspects of client work
• Communication – Confident in dealing with clients, HMRC, and internal stakeholders
• Proactive Approach – A self-motivated professional with a keen eye for detail
