We are seeking our first Software Developer to join our product team! At Home Made we are building a better way to rent. A leading provider for Build to Rent developments across the UK. A focus on utilising technology to make renting better, safer and fairer for all. Your goal is to help upgrade and ultimately bring the rental experience for both landlords and renters into the 21st century. You'll play a pivotal role in maintaining our existing systems whilst also building and scaling. To succeed with our ambitious goals, we need excellent technical people who are excited by a challenge, and who aren't afraid to get stuck into things, in and out of their comfort zone.

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services
• Create responsive, user-friendly frontend interfaces
• Collaborate with team members on system architecture decisions
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

• Maintain and optimise existing web applications and backend services
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the full stack
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements
• Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards

• Assist with basic DevOps tasks and deployment processes
• Support AWS infrastructure management and optimization
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements
• Help with server monitoring and maintenance

• Frontend frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular)
• Excellent knowledge of Javascript and related FE technologies (React, Typescript, Webpack etc)
• HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
• Understanding of modern build tools and workflows

• Solid experience with Node.js and server-side JavaScript
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and development
• Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL)
• Understanding of authentication and security best practices

• 2-3 years of experience as a Software Engineer
• Version control with Git
• Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies
• Understanding of agile development practices
