This hugely successful and rapidly growing main contractor is further expanding its UK operation and is looking to add a number of experienced Health & Safety Managers to live Data Centre construction projects in various locations.

1. Meetings (both management & personnel as appropriate)
2. Training workshops
3. Daily Activity Briefings and HRAs
4. Collaborative Planning i.e. planning and co-ordination of forthcoming construction works on a 2, 4 and 6 weekly cycle, dependent on the lookahead plan
5. Management reviews
6. HRA Inspections and observations
7. Development of EHS initiatives and campaigns
8. Reviewing of data integrity and confirming weekly and monthly statistics accuracy
9. Monitoring compliance between EHS planning and actual works on site
10. Assessing compliance with agreed KPIs across all project stages
11. Communications of EHS at all levels
12. Co-ordination of work activities on the sites
13. Identification, assessment, and evaluation of high-risk activities
14. Training and education
15. Reviews of Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS), safe plans of action, lifting plans, etc.
16. Competency of contractors and operatives

1. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior role; with relevant experience in construction EHS management.
2. Extensive experience in contractor communications, and liaising with project management teams, and other project professionals.
3. Formal qualification in EHS management (minimum EQF level 6).
4. Relevant Health & Safety Membership of a recognised organisation (e.g. the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH); preferably at chartered status (or recognised equivalent).
5. Previous experience on projects such as data centres, warehouses, pharma, and logistics units.
