UK wide high end precision engineering consultancy business in York currently require an experienced Finance Manager/Senior Management Accountant to join and lead a division of their accounts function as Divisional Financial Controller. The business has experienced exceptional growth and as a result have taken the decision to divide regions and create new roles across the country.
Working closely with the newly promoted Group Finance Director you will play a key role in the businesses future growth. Your initial duties will involve:
- Taking ownership of the monthly accounts board back bringing commercial value to the numbers.
- Lead and development a growing team of CIMA/ACCA part qualified and qualified management accountants/financial accountants.
- Be the first point of call establishing and developing external relationships with banks, auditors and the supporting investors.
- Drive and implement new procedures within the finance team bridging the gap between accounts and senior stake holders at Director level.
- Evaluate current systems potentially implementing new software where required
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified having held a similar Financial Controller/Finance Manager level position. Although consideration will be given to none qualified accountants who can demonstrate relevant career achievements to date.
- From a manufacturing, engineering or FMCG background.
- Driven to develop as the position offers the opportunity to progress.
- Able to demonstrate previous systems implementation or have detailed knowledge of ERP/Sage systems from previous roles.
