Job Description
My client, with a strong reputation in the water industry, especially in the region, has secured a significant influx of project workload. They are currently looking to recruit an M&E Project Manager reporting to the Contracts Manager and Company Directors. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing MEICA projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
The post holder will oversee the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of projects, ensuring risk is controlled and uncertainties minimized while delivering excellent service to stakeholders. The main responsibilities include:
- Management of MEICA projects, ensuring outputs meet customer/stakeholder expectations for safety, performance, time, cost, and quality.
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Defining project scope and objectives with relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Developing detailed project plans to monitor progress and performance.
- Managing changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Meeting budgetary objectives and adjusting project constraints based on financial analysis.
- Accurate financial management, including monthly reconciliations and forecasting.
- Measuring project performance using suitable tools and techniques.
- Maintaining relationships with clients, third parties, and stakeholders.
- Performing risk management to minimize project risks.
- Delegating tasks based on individual strengths and experience.
- Managing internal resource availability and allocation.
- Implementing and adhering to company processes and procedures.
- Monitoring and achieving KPIs, both internal and external.
- Reporting regularly to stakeholders.
- Developing leadership skills continually.
- Updating company systems daily for efficient operations.
Required attributes include:
- Relevant project management experience in successful MEICA contract delivery.
- Water industry experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with NEC contract delivery conditions is advantageous but not essential.
- Experience with bespoke scheduling software for delivery programmes.
- Full UK driving license.
