Job description
Fire Sprinkler Estimator/Designer
We are a Crawley-based fire protection firm seeking a Fire Sprinkler Estimator/Designer to join our team. The role covers London, with no requirement to visit the office daily.
The Role:
- Position: Senior Sprinkler System Estimator (Commercial)
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors
- Review and understand project technical requirements
- Prepare cost estimates and proposals tailored to each project
- Measure and quantify sprinkler heads, pipework, etc.
- Conduct site surveys as needed
- Assess contract values and costs
- Send enquiries to supply chain partners
- Prepare tender documentation, presentations, and submittals
- Mentor department trainees
- Familiarity with basic LPCB regulations
- Potential managerial responsibilities depending on experience
- This role can be hybrid; attendance at the Crawley office (West Sussex) is expected at least 4 days a week (to be discussed).
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience in the construction industry with basic knowledge of MEP services
- Previous roles as a Senior Sprinkler System Estimator, Sprinkler Installation Estimating Engineer, or similar
- Minimum 5 years' experience on commercial sprinkler projects
- LPCB qualifications are highly advantageous
- Proficiency with CAD software preferred
- Knowledge of BSEN12845 is required
Basic salary up to £70,000 plus benefits.
