Agility is delighted to be working with a returning client that is a leading global education service and learning solutions provider who due to the growth of the business is looking for an Accountant to support the Finance Manager and join their friendly team.

This company works internationally focusing on giving educators a new way to inspire their students. They work in a range of sectors including public, private, and not-for-profit organisations, and have delivered support to communities in more than 30 countries worldwide.

The role of the accountant is to help support the Finance Manager and to help drive continuous improvements in financial and accounting control.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the month-end management accounts
• Manage the day-to-day activities of two accounts staff
• Managing all accrual and journals
• Working on ongoing projects
• Producing forecasting and budgeting reports
• Production of VAT returns and PAYE
• Ability to create and manage pricing models
• Assist finance manager with tenders
• Conducting payroll journals and investigating payroll anomalies
• Supervising junior members of the finance team
• Attending stakeholder meetings
• Year-end audits
• Liaising with non-financial professionals

Required skills:

• Advanced level at Excel
• Part Qualified or Qualified in Accounting
• Strong knowledge of accounting regulations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple/competing priorities.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish credibility and build relationships quickly and effectively.
• Innovative, with the ability to effectively problem solve.
