A market leader in sales recruitment is looking for Junior Business Development Managers in Kettering. This entry-level role combines office-based tasks and client interactions, geared towards individuals with a degree in engineering. Supporting clients for over 70 years, this company are a market leader in marking and coding machines – the type you’d use within industrial and manufacturing settings to mark and code items.
If you think about something as simple as the expiry date on a bowl of yoghurt, all the way to luxury products that are stamped and shipped globally, these machines support with all.
The company are now looking for 2 new members of their Kettering team, joining as Junior Business Development Managers.
This is a fully entry level role, meaning the first few months will involve huge amounts of training and development as you acclimatise to the world of sales and industry you’re working in.
Once fully up and running, your week will be split between the office (1/2 days) and meeting clients face-to-face (3/4 days).
In the office you’ll be reaching out to potential clients, building relationships and looking to set up face-to-face meetings. You’ll then jump in your company car, go and meet the clients in person and begin the path of putting deals together and winning new business!
You need a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
The usual traits of a salesperson – competitiveness, resilience and personality in abundance will support someone succeeding in this role. There is no experience required, you may have picked up these skills through other roles or hobbies such as sport.
The nature of the products means that someone with a technical mindset will also stand a good chance of success, with backgrounds in engineering specifically welcomed.
