A local primary school in Birmingham is seeking a KS1 Learning Mentor to support pupils in Year 1 and Year 2. You’ll work closely with teachers to deliver interventions in phonics and reading. 1:1 and small group support across KS1
As a KS1 Learning Mentor, you’ll work closely with class teachers to support pupils across Year 1 and Year 2. Your responsibilities will include delivering focused interventions in phonics, reading, writing, and early maths, as well as providing emotional and behavioural support where needed. You’ll help create a positive and engaging learning environment that enables children to grow in confidence and independence.
You should hold a degree in any subject and have a strong interest in primary education, particularly early learning. A calm, nurturing approach and the ability to build trust with young children are essential. Any experience in a school, nursery, or working with children in another setting will be helpful.
