Job summary
A reputable insurance company in Norwich is seeking an Accidental Damage Claims Handler to maintain and manage claims from inception to settlement. This role involves building strong relationships with customers and ensuring timely resolution of claims. Ideal candidates should have at least one year of experience in claims, possess strong communication and negotiation skills, and demonstrate attention to detail. The company supports hybrid working, allowing flexibility between home and office.

Responsibilities
- Maintain ownership of claims, handling each case from First Notification of Loss to Settlement.
- Ensure claims are settled within specific handling times and customers are updated.
- Manage and promptly resolve all external and internal queries.
- Build and maintain close working relationships with customers.

Your main responsibilities as a Claims Handler will be:
- Maintaining ownership of your allocation of Claims, setting up and handling each case from First Notification of Loss though to Settlement
- Ensure Claims are settled within specific handling times and Customers are kept updated with the progress of their Claim
- Managing and promptly resolving all external and internal queries
- Building, developing, and maintaining close working relationships with Customers ensuring a consistently high standard of service is provided
- Adhering to your personal authority limits and referring for authorisation above those where necessary
To be a successful Claims Handler you will need:
- 1 year of Claims experience
- Strong customer service, communication, and negotiation skills
- Methodical and accurate approach to work
- Strong attention to detail and natural problem solving skills
