Job summary
A medium-size organisation in the manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to manage complex employee relations cases and guide managers on best practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in ER, a solid understanding of employment law, and excellent communication skills. The role includes supporting recruitment, leading training, and ensuring compliance with policies. This position offers the opportunity to shape HR practices within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for employee relations queries.
- Lead on complex and sensitive ER casework from start to resolution.
- Coach and guide managers on policy and best practice.
- Support recruitment activity, including vetting and onboarding.
- Assist with policy updates and compliance requirements.

- Act as the first point of contact for all employee relations queries
- Lead on complex and sensitive ER casework from start to resolution
- Coach and guide managers on policy, process, and best practice
- Support recruitment activity, including vetting and onboarding
- Contribute to designing and delivering training sessions
- Maintain accurate documentation and case records
- Work closely with the People Manager to identify people-related risks
- Support continuous improvement across HR processes
- Assist with policy updates and compliance requirements
- Provide day-to-day generalist HR advice to employees and managers
A successful HR Advisor should have :
- Strong experience managing complex ER cases end-to-end
- Confident advising managers and influencing decision-making
- Solid understanding of employment law and HR best practice
- Able to remain calm and objective in sensitive situations
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Organised, detail-focused, and comfortable managing a varied workload
- Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding
- Comfortable delivering or contributing to training
- Tech-savvy, with good HR systems and documentation skills
