SUB ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN

ABOUT THE ROLE

Precision, reliability, and performance are at the core of what we do – and our Sub Assembly Department plays a vital role in delivering that standard. We’re now looking for a Sub Assembly Technician to join our growing team and contribute to the preparation and maintenance of key components that keep our cars at the front of the field.

As a Sub Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling, inspecting, and servicing a wide range of competition car components including suspension systems, brakes, and associated sub-assemblies. Your work will directly impact performance, making this a key position within our workshop operations.

The role responsibilities include:

Assemble and maintain sub-components to a high standard, following strict technical guidelines and tolerances.

Carry out detailed inspections, cleaning, and serving of key mechanical systems.

Ensure parts are built and prepared to meet car build schedules and event deadlines.

Record build data accurately and communicate with engineers and technicians across various departments.

Support the continuous improvement of sub-assembly processes and procedures.

Assist with component preparation and dispatch for test and competition use.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a self-motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. The ideal candidate will be:

Mechanically educated with a basic understanding of motor vehicles and their systems.

Understanding of engineering principles and able to follow detailed technical drawings and build procedures.

Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.

Skilled in multitasking and prioritising workloads under pressure.

Excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for problem solving.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Preferred Experience:

Previous experience in a similar motorsport or precision engineering environment is desirable, but not essential.
