As a licensed financial company with principal membership with card schemes, we specialize in global payments and providing businesses with multi-currency accounts.

About the Role:
We are seeking a Business Growth Manager (POS Focus) to drive our expansion in the UK market. This role is ideal for a dynamic, results-driven professional passionate about business development in the point-of-sale (POS) payments sector. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in acquiring new clients, growing market share, and strengthening our presence in the local payments ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the payments industry, specifically in POS acquiring, and a deep understanding of payment solutions, merchant needs, and market trends. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing, diverse sales team and make a direct impact on Payabl.'s success.

Reporting Line:
This role reports directly to the Head of Sales UK (Acquiring).

Key Responsibilities:

  • POS Payments Expertise – Develop a deep understanding of payabl.’s POS solutions, effectively communicating their value to prospective merchants.
  • Sales Growth – Identify and secure new business opportunities within the POS sector through both traditional and digital sales channels.
  • Market Research & Expansion – Analyze market trends, merchant needs, and competitor offerings to uncover new growth opportunities.
  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management – Build strong relationships with merchants, retailers, hospitality businesses, and service providers to drive POS adoption.
  • End-to-End Sales Process – Lead sales presentations, negotiate contracts, onboard clients, and support their journey with payabl. POS solutions.
  • Lead Generation – Proactively prospect and develop a strong pipeline of potential clients.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with internal teams, including product, risk, and operations, to ensure a seamless merchant experience.
  • Target Achievement – Consistently meet and exceed sales and revenue targets.

Who You Are:

A proactive, results-oriented professional with a deep understanding of POS payments and fintech. You are a natural dealmaker with a strong ability to identify, engage, and close high-value merchants.

  • POS Payments Experience – At least 2 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in POS acquiring, payments, or fintech.
  • Industry Network – You have a strong network within the UK payments ecosystem, allowing you to open doors, identify opportunities faster, and make an immediate impact.
  • Proactive & Resourceful – You’re a self-starter who actively leverages lead generation tools, your industry knowledge, and network to build a strong sales pipeline.
  • Organized & Efficient – You manage multiple priorities with ease and are highly motivated to stay on track and achieve your goals.
  • Results-Driven – You’re commercially focused and take pride in consistently surpassing sales performance metrics.
  • Strong Negotiator – You have a proven track record of closing deals and handling complex negotiations with confidence and skill.
  • Track Record of Success – You have consistently exceeded sales targets and are driven to keep pushing the needle further.

Final Behavioural Interview: A 60-minute team-fit interview with our CEO of the UK office and Group Chief Growth Officer of Acquiring, ensuring a strong cultural and strategic match.
