Our Clinical Floor Coordinator will be instrumental in the effective and efficient running of the clinical floor across all referral disciplines in the hospital, including Anaesthesia, Cardiology, Dermatology, Diagnostic Imaging, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, and Orthopaedics & Soft Tissue Surgery.
Reporting to the Clinical Nursing Manager, the Clinical Floor Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the clinical floor runs effectively by planning referral procedures and leading teams to complete workflows as scheduled. Due to the dynamic nature of referral and emergency work, workflows may change, requiring decisive action and resource reallocation. You will not undertake clinical work as standard but must demonstrate high clinical knowledge.

SCVS is a specialist-led small animal hospital equipped with advanced facilities and a dedicated team of specialists, including a rehabilitation team providing physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. Our hospital is located in Ringwood, Hampshire, near the A31, with recent expansions including a new theatre complex, consulting rooms, and diagnostic facilities.
Our team includes recognised specialists across multiple disciplines, a dedicated rehabilitation team, and an excellent nursing team committed to patient care. We also have veterinary care assistants to support patient comfort.
This part-time position averages 29.25 hours per week, with shifts Monday-Wednesday and 1 in 4 Saturdays, from 08:00 to 17:30.
