Job summary

Rotherwood Cares are currently recruiting experienced Youth Support Workers to support young people aged 16-18 within a supported accommodation service in Dukinfield.

This role provides practical and emotional support, helps young people develop independence and essential life skills, and promotes safeguarding and wellbeing. Sleep-ins and 10:00am-10:00pm shifts are available, with weekly pay and dedicated consultant support.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in supported accommodation, residential childcare, or care settings.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and maintaining professional boundaries.
• Compassionate, resilient and reliable approach.
• DBS on the Update Service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to young people.
• Encourage independence and positive decision-making.
• Support with daily living skills and routines.
• Promote wellbeing, safeguarding and positive outcomes.

Rotherwood Cares are currently recruiting experienced Youth Support Workers to support young people aged 16-18 within a supported accommodation service in Dukinfield.

This service supports 3 young people, helping them develop independence, confidence and essential life skills as they prepare for adulthood.

The Role:

• Providing practical and emotional support to young people
• Encouraging independence and positive decision-making
• Supporting with daily living skills and routines
• Promoting wellbeing, safeguarding and positive outcomes
• Building professional and positive relationships
• Completing support notes and handovers

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with young people, supported accommodation, residential childcare or care settings
• Knowledge of safeguarding and professional boundaries
• A compassionate, resilient and reliable approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred
