Job summary

Rotherwood Cares is recruiting for dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care in a children's residential setting. Sites include Oldham, Bury, Rochdale, Bolton, Trafford, Salford, Thameside.

You will support children and young people, build trusting relationships, and promote education and independence while following safeguarding procedures. DBS and driving licence are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children or young people.
• Residential childcare, youth work, support work or care experience desirable.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
• Full UK Driving Licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people within a residential home.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with young people.
• Encourage education, independence and life skills.
• Support activities, appointments and daily routines.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Complete records, reports and handovers.

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to provide high-quality care and support to children and young people within a residential setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference whilst supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes and develop independence.

The Role:

Shift Patterns:

• 9am - 11pm plus sleep-in shifts
• 2 on, 4 off rota patterns available
• Full-time and temp-to-perm opportunities
