Job summary

Rotherwood Cares in Kirkby is recruiting experienced Youth Support Workers to assist young people aged 16-18 within a supported accommodation service. You will provide practical and emotional support to help them develop independence and essential life skills as they prepare for adulthood.

This role offers regular 10:00am-10:00pm shifts with sleep-ins available, weekly pay, ongoing opportunities, and dedicated consultant support to help you succeed in this flexible agency role.

Rotherwood Cares are currently recruiting experienced Youth Support Workers to support young people aged 16-18 within a supported accommodation service in Kirkby.

This service supports 3 young people, helping them develop independence, confidence and essential life skills as they prepare for adulthood.

The Role:

• Providing practical and emotional support to young people


• Encouraging independence and positive decision-making


• Supporting with daily living skills and routines


• Promoting wellbeing, safeguarding and positive outcomes


• Building professional and positive relationships


• Completing support notes and handovers

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with young people, supported accommodation, residential childcare or care settings


• Knowledge of safeguarding and professional boundaries


• A compassionate, resilient and reliable approach


• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred
