Job summary

Rotherwood Cares are recruiting Youth Support Workers to assist young people aged 16-18 in a supported accommodation service in Bury. You will help them develop independence, confidence and essential life skills as they prepare for adulthood.

The role focuses on practical and emotional support, promoting safeguarding, and building positive relationships while completing handovers and notes for continuity of care.

Rotherwood Cares are currently recruiting experienced Youth Support Workers to support young people aged 16-18 within a supported accommodation service in Bury.

This service supports 3 young people, helping them develop independence, confidence and essential life skills as they prepare for adulthood.

The Role:

• Providing practical and emotional support to young people
• Encouraging independence and positive decision-making
• Supporting with daily living skills and routines
• Promoting wellbeing, safeguarding and positive outcomes
• Building professional and positive relationships
• Completing support notes and handovers

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with young people, supported accommodation, residential childcare or care settings
• Knowledge of safeguarding and professional boundaries
• A compassionate, resilient and reliable approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred
