Job summary

Sanctuary Supported Living is seeking a Project Worker to join our Southend-on-Sea team. The role supports young people, helping with daily living tasks, budgeting, and tenancy readiness. You’ll update support plans, signpost to education and employment, and promote social inclusion.

You will work in a compassionate, community-focused team, offering safeguarding and resilience-building support. Flexible working options are available within a not-for-profit setting that reinvests in staff

Qualifications

• Experience with vulnerable people.
• Positive approach to supporting young people with a range of needs.
• Strong interpersonal and customer care skills with an approachable attitude.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of support planning, key working, risk assessment and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer needs and update support plans, signposting to education, training and employment.
• Support customers with day-to-day living such as cooking and cleaning.
• Offer advice to help customers meet tenancy conditions.
• Assist with managing finances and welfare benefits.
• Encourage social inclusion and help customers build confidence, resilience and self-esteem.
• Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met.
