Job summary

Sanctuary Supported Living in Witham, Essex, is seeking a Project Worker to join our homelessness service. You will support individuals to build independence, assess needs, and update care plans while acting as the first point of contact for queries.

The role requires a compassionate, team-focused approach with good literacy and numeracy. NVQ3 in Health & Social Care or willingness to pursue it is preferred. 37.5 hours per week, £14.57 per hour, with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults who have experienced homelessness.
• Positive, flexible and enthusiastic approach.
• Able to work well in a team and independently.
• Strong organisational skills with good literacy and numeracy.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it.
• Proficient technology/IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar).

Responsibilities

• Support customers who have experienced homelessness to build independence and reach their potential.
• Assess needs and update support plans.
• Act as the first point of contact for customer queries.
• Build positive relationships that respect choice, privacy and dignity.
• Work with external partners to boost confidence, health and wellbeing, and encourage education and employment.
