Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a compassionate Youth Mentor to support pupils with SEMH needs at a Stockport secondary school. You will provide one-to-one and small-group mentoring, help learners develop emotional regulation, and collaborate with teachers to create a calm, inclusive classroom where every pupil can engage and progress.
Hours are 8:30am to 3:45pm, with daily rate from £97. Start date ASAP.
Do you have experience supporting young people and a genuine passion for helping them overcome barriers and reach their potential?
We are working with a supportive and inclusive SEMH provision in Stockport that is looking for compassionate, resilient, and committed individuals to join their team and make a genuine difference to the lives of young people.
The pupils you will support may experience anxiety, ADHD, trauma, attachment difficulties, emotional dysregulation, low self-esteem, and behaviours that challenge. Many have faced significant barriers both inside and outside of education and require adults who are patient, consistent, understanding, and willing to see the person behind the behaviour.
As a Youth Mentor, you will provide personalised one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils develop confidence, emotional resilience, positive behaviours, and the skills they need to engage successfully with education. You will work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where pupils feel understood, supported, and able to succeed.
If you're looking for a role where what you do genuinely matters, this could be the opportunity for you.
You'll have the chance to work alongside experienced education and pastoral professionals while developing your own skills and experience in SEMH support.
If you're passionate about supporting young people and ready to make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.
