Copnor Primary School is seeking a Year 6 teacher to join the team from January 2027. The position offers either full-time work or a three-day week, covering a teacher travelling for part of the year within a supportive KS2 team.

The successful candidate may be an experienced class teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) and will participate in the HISP ECT induction process, under the leadership of SLT and KS2 phase.

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher to join our team of committed and friendly staff to teach a Year 6 class either full time or 3 days a week in our school from January 2027 to cover a teacher going travelling. This post is fixed term for the remainder of the academic year, with the option to become permanent depending on the staffing structure for September 2027.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, dynamic and nurturing teacher to join our school in Year 6. The successful candidate will work with our lovely group of Year 6 children supported by three other class teachers, a Year 6 Teaching Assistant Team, the KS2 Phase Leader and SLT.

This post would be suitable for either an experienced class teacher or an ECT and they would be part of the HISP ECT induction process.
