Copnor Primary School in Sunderland is seeking an enthusiastic Year 6 teacher to join a friendly staff. The role can be full-time or 3 days a week, from January 2027 to cover a travelling teacher, with a fixed-term contract for the remainder of the academic year.

The successful candidate may be an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) and will join a supportive Year 6 team including other class teachers, a Teaching Assistant, KS2 Phase Leader and SLT.

We are seeking toappoint an enthusiastic andhighly motivated teacher to join our team of committed and friendly staff to teach a Year 6 classeither full time or 3 days a week in our school from January 2027 to cover ateacher going travelling. This post is fixed term for the remainder of theacademic year, with the option to become permanent depending on the staffingstructure for September 2027.

This is a fantasticopportunity for an enthusiastic, dynamic and nurturing teacher to join ourschool in Year 6. The successful candidate will work with our lovely group of Year6 children supported by three other class teachers, a Year 6 Teaching AssistantTeam, the KS2 Phase Leader and SLT.

This post would be suitable for either an experiencedclass teacher or an ECT and they would be part of the HISP ECT inductionprocess.
