Job summary

Academics in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher for supply roles across our partner schools starting September 2026. This flexible daily position could develop into a longer-term opportunity for the right candidate.

You will deliver engaging lessons, support pupils with SEND, and work with staff and parents to achieve the best outcomes. QTS is required, along with an enhanced DBS, and a willingness to undertake ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Enhanced DBS (must be on the update service).
• Willingness to undertake relevant training continually when needed.
• Salary determined by qualifications and relevant experience per client policy.

This Teaching opportunity starts in September 2026 and is daily work that has the potential to become long-term for the right candidate. Key responsibilities of a Year 5 Teacher include:

• Ensure that teaching and lesson plans are adaptable for children with SEND
• Work in collaboration with a range of individuals, including colleagues and parents, to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
