Job summary

Flourish Education in Alcester is seeking an experienced Year 5 Teacher for a full‑time post commencing in September for the new academic year. The role involves planning, delivering and marking lessons in line with the National Curriculum, and supporting pupils across Key Stage 2.

You will monitor pupil progress, prepare students for end-of-year assessments, and work closely with colleagues and support staff.

Job description

Flourish Education is seeking an experienced Year 5 Teacher for a supportive primary school in Alcester, starting in September for the full academic year. This role is a full-time class teacher position, and responsibilities will include planning, marking, assessments, and attending parents' evenings and CPD sessions.

The key responsibilities of the Year 5 Teacher role include:

• Take on full Class Teacher responsibilities including planning, delivering and marking lessons in line with the National Curriculum
• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across Key Stage 2 (KS2)
• Monitor pupil progress and prepare pupils effectively for end-of-year assessments
• Work collaboratively with other teaching staff and support staff within the Primary School

The successful Year 5 Teacher will have the following skills and experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience working as a Primary Teacher within a UK Primary School
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum of Key Stage 2 (KS2)
• Experience supporting students through SATS
• Proven ability to plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons
• Excellent behaviour management and classroom management skills
• Previous experience working as a Primary Teacher with full classroom responsibilities
