Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a Teaching Assistant with strong KS2 knowledge to support Year 5 and Year 6 in a Birmingham primary school.

You will lead small intervention groups, work one-to-one with pupils and deliver targeted support to help them reach their highest potential. A Level 3 TA qualification along with recent primary school experience are required.

Qualifications

• Level 3+ Teaching Assistant Qualification (NVQ / CACHE preferable).
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND on a one to one basis.
• Excellent working knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
• Recent primary school experience within the last 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Lead small intervention groups with different children who require tailored support.
• Deliver focused support to help pupils reach their highest potential.
• Work independently to run structured KS2 sessions for Years 5 & 6.

Job description

A lovely school within B6 area (Aston / Witton) is looking for a Teaching Assistant who has strong Key Stage 2 knowledge specifically Year 5 &6.

This role will be leading small intervention groups with different children who require tailored support to reach their highest potential.

As you will be leading these groups independently, the school are looking for somebody who has previous experience within Key Stage 2, and is comfortable with the curriculum.

This role is 5 days per week, starting from September on an ongoing basis.

To be successful in this role you will require:

• Level 3 + Teaching Assistant Qualification (NVQ / CACHE preferable)
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND on a one to one basis
• Excellent working knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
• Recent primary school experience within the last 2 years
