Job summary

Aspire People is helping a Sutton Coldfield school recruit a KS2 Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 6 pupil.

You will support the child to access learning at Year 3/4 level, provide a calming presence, and collaborate with teachers and families. DBS check and references are required; training and ongoing guidance are offered.

The role offers flexible school placements and long-term opportunities in local schools.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 TA qualificaton or equivalent in health and social care/education.
• Experience supporting individuals with SEND.
• Calming presence with a passion for children's learning.
• Provide at least two reference contacts covering two years.
• Enhanced DBS on update service or be willing to apply during registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil working at Year 3/4 level.
• Assist with learning activities and maintain a calm, supportive environment.

A lovely school in Sutton Coldfield, local to Boldmere, is looking for a brilliant TA to work 1:1 with a child in Year 6, who is working to Year3/4 ability.

Requirements for our Teaching Assistant roles:

• Level 2/3 Health and social care / Teaching Assistant / EYFS / Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience supporting individuals with SEND
• A calming nature, with a passion for making a difference to children's learning
• Able to provide at least 2 reference contact details, covering at least 2 years
• An enhanced child work force DBS on the update service - if you do not currently have a DBS you will be required to apply for one during the registration process
