Job summary

William Austin Junior School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with an EHCP in Year 3 from Sep 2026 to Jul 2030. The role is 30.25 hours weekly, with specific hours Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri 8:45am–3:30pm and Tue 8:45am–5:00pm, term-time plus five training days.

The successful candidate will hold NVQ Level 2 or above, have experience with diverse SEN needs, and be a caring, communicative team player.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or above required.
• Experience with children with special educational needs is preferred.
• Strong communication with children and adults essential.
• Caring nature and teamwork are important.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in teaching and learning both in and out of the classroom.
• Assist in a range of activities to support learning and inclusion.
• Work as part of the TA team under the Inclusion Manager.
• Contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing of pupils.
