Job summary

Aspire People is partnering with a local Sutton Coldfield school to recruit a flexible teaching assistant for a part-time role from September. The position covers three days per week across Reception, SEMH/ADHD support, and a Year 5 pupil with ASD.

You will work with different children each day, requiring an adaptable approach and collaboration with other part-time staff. The school maintains safeguarding commitments and a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3+ Teaching Assistant Qualification (NVQ / CACHE preferable).
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND on a one to one basis.
• Excellent working knowledge of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum.
• Recent primary school experience within the last 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Class-based support on 1 day per week within Reception.
• Support a child in Reception with SEMH and ADHD on another day.
• Support a child in Year 5 with ASD who can often be defiant on the remaining day.
• Cover with other part-time staff members as needed.

As you will be working with different children each day, an adaptable individual is required.

1 day of this role would be class-based within Reception, 1 day would be spent supporting a child in Reception with SEMH and ADHD, and the final day would be working with a child in Year 5 with ASD who can often be defiant.
