Job summary

St James Catholic Primary School is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant Grade 3 to support pupils with learning needs on a 32.5-hour per week, term-time only basis. The role is fixed-term until August 31, 2027, with an anticipated start ASAP and interview on 15/10/2026.

The successful candidate will work within a Catholic environment, demonstrating enthusiasm, organisation and commitment to high standards of pupil achievement and behaviour. NVQ Level 3 in childcare or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in childcare or equivalent qualification.
• Experience supporting pupils with learning needs.
• Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
