Job summary

Desian Education are recruiting a dedicated Year 1 Teacher for a welcoming primary school in Aintree. The role is full-time, long-term, starting January 2027, with responsibility for a Year 1 class and supporting pupils transitioning from EYFS to KS1.

You will plan, deliver and assess lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, create an inclusive learning environment, monitor progress with feedback, and collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues and senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching in Year 1 or across Key Stage 1.
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback.
• Work closely with teaching assistants, colleagues and senior leaders.

Desian Education are delighted to be recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Aintree., This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate KS1 specialist looking to secure a full-time, long-term teaching position from January 2027. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils through the important transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1 while delivering engaging and effective lessons in a nurturing classroom environment. Full responsibility for a Year 1 class.

• Planning, delivering and assessing lessons in line with the National Curriculum
• Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
• Monitoring pupil progress and providing effective feedback
• Working closely with teaching assistants, colleagues and senior leaders
• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has experience teaching in Year 1 or across Key Stage 1
• Confident delivering the Year 1 curriculum
• Experience supporting children's transition from EYFS is desirable
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to obtain one)
• Demonstrates a positive, nurturing and professional approach
• Is reliable, committed and able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents

£120 - £232 per day (M1-M6), dependent on experience.
