Job summary

Desian Education are recruiting for a dedicated Year 1 Teacher at a welcoming Bootle primary school. This full‑time, long‑term role starts January 2027, focusing on supporting pupils through the EYFS to KS1 transition with engaging lessons.

Holders of QTS with Year 1/KS1 experience are preferred; a DBS on Update Service (or willingness to obtain) is required, along with reliability and a nurturing approach. The role offers daily rates of £120–£232 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Year 1 or KS1.
• Confident delivering the Year 1 curriculum.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess Year 1 lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Create an inclusive, engaging and nurturing learning environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide effective feedback.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues and senior leaders.
