Job summary

Desian Education are recruiting a dedicated Year 3 Teacher for a welcoming primary school in Bootle. This full-time, long-term role starts January 2027, offering a stable teaching post within a supportive school community.

You will deliver engaging lessons, support pupils’ academic and personal development, and contribute to a thriving school. Previous KS2 experience and QTS are essential, with DBS Update Service preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3.
• Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills.
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Reliable, nurturing, professional approach and ability to build relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for a Year 3 class.
• Plan, deliver and assess lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and implement interventions where required.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues and senior leaders.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Key Stage 2 practitioner looking to secure a full-time, long-term teaching position from January 2027. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, support pupils' academic and personal development, and contribute positively to a thriving school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for a Year 3 class
• Planning, delivering and assessing lessons in line with the National Curriculum
• Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
• Monitoring pupil progress and implementing appropriate interventions where required
• Working closely with teaching assistants, colleagues and senior leaders

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Has experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3
• Confident delivering the Key Stage 2 curriculum
• Has strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to obtain one)
• Demonstrates a positive, nurturing and professional approach
• Is reliable, committed and able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents

£120 - £232 per day (M1-M6), dependent on experience.
