Job summary

Desian Education are recruiting a dedicated Year 6 Teacher for a welcoming primary school in Aintree, Merseyside. This full-time, long-term role starts January 2027 and offers stability as pupils complete KS2 and prepare for SATs.

You will lead a Year 6 class, plan and assess lessons, and work closely with teaching assistants, colleagues and senior leaders. The ideal candidate holds QTS with an enhanced DBS and has experience delivering Upper Key Stage 2.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Full Enhanced DBS clearance.
• Experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
• Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation.
• Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for a Year 6 class

Desian Education are delighted to be recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Aintree.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Key Stage 2 practitioner looking to secure a full-time, long-term teaching position from January 2027. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils through their final year of primary education, helping them achieve their full potential and preparing them for a successful transition to secondary school.

Key Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for a Year 6 class
• Planning, delivering and assessing lessons in line with the National Curriculum
• Preparing pupils for SATs and supporting them to achieve their individual targets
• Delivering engaging and challenging lessons across the curriculum
• Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment
• Monitoring pupil progress and implementing targeted interventions where required
• Working closely with teaching assistants, colleagues and senior leaders

The Ideal Candidate

£120 - £232 per day (M1-M6), dependent on experience.
