Job summary

Mole Valley Farmers Limited in Tavistock is seeking a Yard Team Member to support day-to-day yard and store operations. This is a hands-on role focused on safety, organisation and excellent service for members and customers.

You will work 13.5 hours per week across Saturdays and Sundays from November 19 to December 19, 2026, with duties including stock handling, POS support and maintaining high presentation standards in external areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in a yard, warehouse, or retail environment preferred.
• Familiarity with agricultural or countryside settings beneficial.
• Forklift truck licence advantageous.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
• Good IT skills and confidence using systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Awareness of Data Protection / GDPR and Health & Safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Delivering excellent customer service at the counter and across the yard.
• Receiving, checking, and loading stock accurately and efficiently.
• Supporting Point of Sale operations when required.
• Maintaining external areas to a high standard of presentation.
• Investigating stock discrepancies and supporting seasonal stock reviews.
• Participating in stock-taking and maintaining stock file integrity.
• Following health & safety procedures and UFAS regulations.

Description

We’re looking for a hardworking and customer-focused Yard Team Member to support the day-to-day operations of our yard and store. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help maintain a safe, organised, and welcoming environment for our members and customers, while working collaboratively with colleagues across the business.

About The Role

Contract: Temporary, starting 19th November 2026 until 19th December 2026

Hours: Part-time

Hours of Work: 13.5 Hours per week, working Saturday and Sunday

As a Yard Team Member, you’ll play a key role in stock handling, customer service, and maintaining high standards across external areas. You’ll support the Stock Supervisor and wider team to ensure efficient operations and a positive experience for everyone who visits the store.

Key responsibilities include:
