Job summary

Mole Valley Farmers Limited in Yeovil is seeking a proactive Yard Team Member for part-time seasonal hours. You’ll assist with stock handling, customer service at the yard and counter, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for our members and customers.

You’ll work closely with the Stock Supervisor to ensure efficient operations, accurate stock records, and high standards across external areas, while following health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in a yard, warehouse or retail environment preferred.
• Familiarity with agricultural or countryside settings beneficial.
• Forklift licence advantageous.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately.
• Good IT skills and confidence using systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Awareness of Data Protection / GDPR and Health & Safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Delivering excellent customer service at the counter and across the yard.
• Receiving, checking, and loading stock accurately and efficiently.
• Supporting Point of Sale operations when required.
• Maintaining external areas to a high standard of presentation.
• Investigating stock discrepancies and supporting seasonal stock reviews.
• Participating in stocktaking and maintaining stock file integrity.
• Following health & safety procedures and UFAS regulations.

Compensation: £10.85 - £12.71 / hour

Description

We’re looking for a hardworking and customer-focused Yard Team Member to support the day-to-day operations of our yard and store. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help maintain a safe, organised, and welcoming environment for our members and customers, while working collaboratively with colleagues across the business.

About The Role

Contract: Temporary
Hours: Part-time
Hours of Work: 20 Hours per week

As a Yard Team Member, you’ll play a key role in stock handling, customer service, and maintaining high standards across external areas. You’ll support the Stock Supervisor and wider team to ensure efficient operations and a positive experience for everyone who visits the store.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering excellent customer service at the counter and across the yard
