Job summary

Mole Valley Farmers Limited in South Molton is seeking a hardworking Yard Team Member on a part-time, temporary basis. You will handle stock, assist customers at the counter and support the yard and feedstore operations.

The role involves 30 hours per week on a rota, with a strong emphasis on safety, presentation and teamwork; full training is provided and a competitive hourly rate (£10.85–£12.71) is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in a yard, warehouse, or retail environment (preferred).
• Familiarity with agricultural or countryside settings (beneficial).
• A forklift truck licence (advantageous).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivering excellent customer service at the counter and across the yard.
• Receiving, checking, and loading stock accurately and efficiently.
• Supporting Point of Sale operations when required.
• Maintaining external areas to a high standard of presentation.
• Investigating stock discrepancies and supporting seasonal stock reviews.
• Participating in stocktaking and maintaining stock file integrity.
• Following health & safety procedures and UFAS regulations.

Description

We’re looking for a hardworking and customer-focused Yard Team Member to support the day-to-day operations of our yard and store. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help maintain a safe, organised, and welcoming environment for our members and customers, while working collaboratively with colleagues across the business.

About The Role

Contract: Temporary

Hours: Part-time

Hours of Work: 30 Hours per week, working on a rota basis

As a Yard Team Member, you’ll play a key role in stock handling, customer service, and maintaining high standards across external areas. You’ll support the Stock Supervisor and wider team to ensure efficient operations and a positive experience for everyone who visits the store.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering excellent customer service at the counter and across the yard
• Receiving, checking, and loading stock accurately and efficiently

About You
