Job summary

Mole Valley Farmers in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Yard Team Member to support the day-to-day operations of our yard and store. This hands-on role is part-time, with 5.5 hours each Sunday, helping maintain a safe, organized and welcoming environment for members and customers while working closely with colleagues.

You’ll be involved in stock handling, customer service, and keeping external areas presenting to a high standard.

Qualifications

• Experience in a yard, warehouse, or retail environment.
• Forklift licence is advantageous.
• Good communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow processes and work under pressure.
• Familiarity with GDPR and Health & Safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service at the counter and across the yard.
• Receive, check, and load stock accurately and efficiently.
• Support Point of Sale operations when required.
• Maintain external areas to a high standard of presentation.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and support stock reviews.
• Participate in stocktaking and maintaining stock file integrity.
• Follow health & safety procedures and UFAS regulations.
• Assist customers into their vehicles with products up to 25kgs.

Job description

We’re looking for a hardworking and customer-focused Yard Team Member to support the day-to-day operations of our yard and store. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll help maintain a safe, organised, and welcoming environment for our members and customers, while working collaboratively with colleagues across the business.

About The Role

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Part‑time

Hours of Work: 5.5 Hours per week, working every Sunday

As a Yard Team Member, you’ll play a key role in stock handling, customer service, and maintaining high standards across external areas. You’ll support the Stock Supervisor and wider team to ensure efficient operations and a positive experience for everyone who visits the store. This role includes external working in all weather conditions and consistent lifting of goods up to 25kgs into Customers cars.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering excellent customer service at the counter and across the yard
• Receiving, checking, and loading stock accurately and efficiently
• Supporting Point of Sale operations when required
• Maintaining external areas to a high standard of presentation
• Investigating stock discrepancies and supporting seasonal stock reviews
• Participating in stocktaking and maintaining stock file integrity
• Following health & safety procedures and UFAS regulations
• This role includes assisting customers in to their vehicles with products up to 25kgs consistently throughout the day

About You

• Experience in a yard, warehouse, or retail environment (preferred)
• Familiarity with agricultural or countryside settings (beneficial)
• A forklift truck licence (advantageous)
• Good communication and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately
• Good IT skills and confidence using systems
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
• Awareness of Data Protection / GDPR and Health & Safety standards
• You’ll be friendly, self‑motivated, and adaptable, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and working as part of a team.
