Mole Valley Farmers is seeking a Yard Team Member in Yeovil to support daily yard and store operations. This part-time, permanent role requires 16 hours per week across 2 days, with a pay rate between £10.85 and £12.71 per hour.

You will assist with stock handling, customer service, and keeping external areas tidy and safe. Join a collaborative team focused on delivering high-quality service to members and customers while complying with health & safety standards and GDPR.

Qualifications

• Experience in a yard, warehouse, or retail environment (preferred).
• Familiarity with agricultural or countryside settings (beneficial).
• A forklift truck licence (advantageous).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately.
• Good IT skills and confidence using systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Awareness of Data Protection / GDPR and Health & Safety standards.
• You’ll be friendly, self-motivated, and adaptable, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking, and loading stock accurately and efficiently.
• Supporting Point of Sale operations when required.
• Maintaining external areas to a high standard of presentation.
• Investigating stock discrepancies and supporting seasonal stock reviews.
• Participating in stocktaking and maintaining stock file integrity.
• Following health & safety procedures and UFAS regulations.

We’re looking for a hardworking and customer-focused Yard Team Member to support the day-to-day operations of our yard and store. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll help maintain a safe, organised, and welcoming environment for our members and customers, while working collaboratively with colleagues across the business.

About The Role

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Part-time

Hours of Work: 16 Hours per week, working 2 out of 7 days

As a Yard Team Member, you’ll play a key role in stock handling, customer service, and maintaining high standards across external areas. You’ll support the Stock Supervisor and wider team to ensure efficient operations and a positive experience for everyone who visits the store.
