Mole Valley Farmers Limited is seeking a Yard Team Member in Bridgwater to support yard and feedstore operations. This temporary role involves stock handling, customer service, and maintaining external areas to high standards, with a Monday–Friday schedule.

You will work 30 hours per week (09:45–16:15), starting 23 November and ending 16 December, assisting the Stock Supervisor and team to ensure smooth store operations and a positive customer experience.

Formación

• Experience in a yard, warehouse or retail environment preferred.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow processes and safety procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver excellent customer service at the counter and in the yard.
• Receive, check and load stock accurately and efficiently.
• Support Point of Sale operations when required.
• Maintain external areas to a high standard of presentation.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and support stock reviews.
• Participate in stocktaking and maintain stock file integrity.

Description

We’re looking for a hardworking and customer-focused Yard Team Member to support the day-to-day operations of our yard and store. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help maintain a safe, organised, and welcoming environment for our members and customers, while working collaboratively with colleagues across the business.

About The Role

Hours of Work: 30 Hours per week, working Monday - Friday. 09:45 - 16:15

Christmas Tree Temp. Working Monday to Friday 09:45 - 16:15

Starting date: 23rd November. End date: 16th December.

As a Yard Team Member, you’ll play a key role in stock handling, customer service, and maintaining high standards across external areas. You’ll support the Stock Supervisor and wider team to ensure efficient operations and a positive experience for everyone who visits the store.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering excellent customer service at the counter and across the yard
• Receiving, checking, and loading stock accurately and efficiently
• Supporting Point of Sale operations when required
• Maintaining external areas to a high standard of presentation
• Investigating stock discrepancies and supporting seasonal stock reviews
• Participating in stocktaking and maintaining stock file integrity
• Following health & safety procedures and UFAS regulations

About You

• Experience in a yard, warehouse, or retail environment (preferred)
• Familiarity with agricultural or countryside settings (beneficial)
• A forklift truck licence (advantageous)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately
• Good IT skills and confidence using systems
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
• Awareness of Data Protection / GDPR and Health & Safety standards
• You’ll be friendly, self-motivated, and adaptable, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and working as part of a team.
